The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program has extended its application deadline to February 3. Licensed primary care clinicians, dentists, and other providers in eligible disciplines can receive loan repayment assistance through the program. In exchange for loan repayment, recipients must serve at least two years at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

The NHSC operates three loan forgiveness program options: standard, substance use disorder, and rural, with up to $50,000 or more for full-time providers. All programs use one application, but applicants may apply to only one of the programs.

Providers may not receive loan forgiveness from both the NHSC and the Pennsylvania Primary Care Loan Repayment Program.
