Project ECHO at Penn State College of Medicine is launching a new learning series for health care providers on monkeypox on August 24. As of Aug. 11, there were 10,768 confirmed cases of monkeypox in the U.S., and the outbreak has been declared a public health emergency. The five-part series will provide clinical guidance to providers so that they are best prepared to meet patient needs and questions. The Epilepsy Foundation is conducting a survey of health care providers on what they want and need to know about caring for patients with rare epilepsies. The survey asks about optimal audience, gaps and solutions for care, and what content should be included in 8-10 hour-long Project ECHO-based learning sessions.
